Prior to COVID, the active members assisted at nursing homes getting residents to area for Mass or Communion Service on Wednesday mornings and making home communion visits to shut-ins. The praying members who are unable to attend meetings provide spiritual help by praying for the Legionnaires and their mission. First Friday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament begins 6:30 p.m. and ends prior to the 5:30 p.m. Mass every Friday Friday. Sign-up sheets at this time are available in the Cathedral. Please consider signing up for Eucharistic Adoration. All empty time slots need to be filled prior to opening Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Otherwise, we will have to alter the Adoration hours. Holy Hour for Vocations is held immediately following the 6:00 a.m. Mass at the beginning of Adoration. This is a time for public and private prayer.

Bishop Cahill will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation and celebrate Mass at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. Adults who have participated in 5-week Adult Confirmation classes during January and February will be confirmed at this time.
Our Lady of Victory Altar Society meets on the second Tuesday of each month (except July and August) in the Cathedral Center (St. Gabriel Hall) with a Social beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by the monthly meeting. This Baptismal Instruction Class for parents and sponsors is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Cathedral Center (St. Raphael Meeting Room) from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Parents of children being baptized at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory must be parishioners. Parents who are baptizing their child at another Catholic Church and sponsors who need to attend a class in order to meet requirements of being a baptismal sponsor at another parish are welcome to attend. Participants will receive proof of attendance at the end of the evening to take to their parish to be included with the records required for the baptism. Parents of children to be baptized at the Cathedral should bring the child's city-issued birth certificate so that a copy may be made for the church records. The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral on Tuesday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. During this special Mass, Bishop Cahill will bless the Oil of Catechumens, the Oil of the Sick and the Oil of Chrism and the priests of the Diocese of Victoria as a group will renew the vows they took at their ordination. All are invited to this special Liturgy held every year during Holy Week.
